⋆。‧˚ʚ🐯ɞ˚‧。⋆Hello, Longden Families.

We had another fantastic week of learning and fun at Longden, and here are some highlights!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for this month’s Coffee with the Principal! Your thoughts and feedback mean so much to us, and they help make our school community even better. If you couldn’t make it this time, no worries — we’d love to see you at the next one on October 22 at 9:00 a.m. Mark your calendar and join the conversation!

We conducted a Soft Lockout drill on Tuesday as part of our emergency preparedness plan. A Soft Lockout is a situation where there is a potential threat or police activity on or off school grounds. We did not evacuate during this drill, but we followed our student and staff accountability protocol as part of the process.

Our amazing second graders took the stage at this month's spirit assembly, showcasing the theme of responsibility! 🎉 Be sure to check out the highlights on our Instagram account.

🐛Miss Dorazio, Miss Jennings, and Mrs. Lee's classes had fun with their STEM activity for their science lesson on motion and force. Students made inchworms and had to use just the right amount of force in order for their worm to move in an up and down motion, like an inchworm.

We have another exciting week planned for next week. Here's a quick sneak peek of the fun activities we’ve lined up, including celebrating our custodians on National Custodian Day, Lunch on the Lawn, and more!
  • Thursday, we are coming together to celebrate our wonderful custodians, who keep our school a clean, safe, and bright place for our students and learning.
  • Are you ready for Lunch on the Lawn? We are and can't wait to see you on campus!

  • Write a heartfelt thank-you card to express your gratitude.
  • Simply say, "Thank you!" to show your appreciation.
  • Consider giving a thoughtful snack or gift as a token of your gratitude.

Food Allergies

Food Allergies

We need your support regarding the sharing of food or drinks.
The rise in food allergies among children means that even the tiniest exposure to allergens could be potentially severe or life-threatening. This year, we've seen an increase in students with various food allergies. Ensuring a safe environment for all students is more crucial than ever.
Here's how you can help make Longden safer for all students:
  • Please remind your child never to share their food and drinks with other students.
  • Please remind your child never to eat or drink anything offered to them by others.
  • Please remind your child to wash their hands before and after eating.
Your support for children with allergies is extremely valuable. Together, we can make a real difference and ensure the safety and well-being of all our students.
