Stadium Opening – September 12

Temple City High School is proud to announce the grand opening of its brand-new stadium, the Bob Hitchcock Field, with a community-wide celebration on Friday, September 12, 2025. The event marks a special moment as Temple City hosts its first Friday Night Lights football game under the new stadium lights.

The celebration will begin when gates open at 5:00 PM, welcoming students, parents, alumni, and community members to enjoy the new state-of-the-art facilities, including a brand-new turf field, upgraded press box, dazzling stadium lighting displays, and a cutting-edge scoreboard video screen. Kickoff against Don Bosco High School will begin at 7:15 PM.

There will be a special opening ceremony to mark the occasion. Fans are encouraged to wear green and gold to show their Ram pride. At halftime, the crowd will be treated to an unforgettable performance by the Pride of Temple City Marching Band with their field show. Guests will also receive a free hot dog if they are showing their Ram pride! To make the evening even more memorable, guests will have the opportunity to re-visit history with a special exhibit from the Temple City Historical Society.

Temple City High School invites the entire community — past, present, and future Rams — to join this momentous celebration on Friday, September 12, 2025 at Bob Hitchcock Stadium. Together, the Temple City community will light up the night and mark history with the first Friday Night Lights game on the new field.
