Rising Higher: TCUSD Educators Lead by Example in Professional Growth

Posted Date: 6/25/25 (11:31 PM)

A heartfelt congratulations to our TCUSD Administrators and Teachers who are continually enriching their professional journeys. Our newest teachers have embarked on their classroom journey with guidance from TCUSD mentors through the San Gabriel Valley Consortium Teacher Induction Program. This comprehensive program supports them with mentoring, professional learning, and embedded support during their crucial first two years and ensures they’re fully equipped for the classroom and officially clearing their credential in the State of California. Congrats to Ms. Greep, Mr. Phu, Mr. Tran, Ms. Hernandez and Ms. Silva.

We also would like to celebrate the incredible achievements of our district’s leaders: TCHS Assistant Principals Mr. Slaymaker, Mr. Sherman, and Mr. Chan, alongside Cloverly Principal Julia Johnson and District Curriculum Coordinator Amy Gerling, have all cleared their administrative credentials, marking significant milestones in their careers. And let’s give a special shout-out to Oak Avenue Assistant Principal Mr. Nguyen, who has earned his Ph.D.—Dr. Nguyen, your dedication shines brightly!
These accomplishments exemplify TCUSD’s commitment to excellence. It is also so valuable for our students to see their teachers and staff continuing to pursue higher education. Our foundation is strengthened in the classrooms where these inspiring educators and leaders continue to pursue excellence, making TCUSD one of Southern California’s most high achieving districts.
