Temple City Unified School District Earns District-Wide Recognition for Excellence in Positive Behavioral Supports

Five TCUSD schools achieve the prestigious Platinum designation, while Temple City High School and Dr. Doug Sears Learning Center earn Silver in their inaugural year of PBIS implementation.

TEMPLE CITY, CA — Temple City Unified School District (TCUSD) is proud to announce that every school across the district has been formally recognized by California PBIS for exceptional implementation of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS).

Evaluated alongside nearly 2,700 participating schools across California, TCUSD schools earned honors reflecting their commitment to building safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environments that maximize social, emotional, and behavioral growth for all students.

District PBIS Recognition Levels

• Platinum Level (Highest Recognition):

  • Cloverly Elementary School

  • Emperor Elementary School (retaining Platinum status)

  • La Rosa Elementary School

  • Longden Elementary School

  • Oak Avenue Intermediate School (retaining Platinum status)

• Silver Level (First-Year Implementation):

  • Temple City High School

  • Dr. Doug Sears Learning Center

Earning Platinum status reflects a school’s mastery in putting the core features of PBIS into daily practice with total fidelity. Meanwhile, Temple City High School and Dr. Doug Sears Learning Center achieved Silver recognition in their very first year of formal PBIS framework implementation—a remarkable milestone for secondary and alternative learning campuses.

All TCUSD recognized schools will be featured on the official California PBIS website and honored during the Annual California PBIS Conference.
