Posted Date: 6/25/25 (10:44 PM)

Temple City Unified School District is thrilled to announce Michele Yoder as the distinguished recipient of the Association of California School Administrators’ Golden Apple Award for Volunteerism. Michele’s outstanding dedication and contributions to TCUSD were celebrated at the annual ACSA celebration breakfast, where she was honored for her invaluable service.Every year the ACSA highlights a stand out parent volunteer from each school district. Parent volunteers are an integral part of our district and we are delighted to be able to highlight Michele this year.

For over 15 years, Michele has been an integral part of TCUSD’s community, passionately serving through various roles including School Site PTA, Council PTA, field trip chaperoning, Founder's Day organization, support for the Camellia Festival, and volunteering with our Musical performances, Jazz Band, Choreo Team, and Pep programs, among others. Even after her children graduated from TC schools, Michele continues to generously volunteer her time, currently holding a position on the Council PTA.

Her commitment has profoundly enriched our students' experiences, bolstered our performing arts programs, and strengthened our district's fabric. Michele exemplifies the spirit of community and embodies the ethos of giving back. Beyond the hours she has given, her positive attitude is contagious and her ability to assist in any situation with a smile on her face is invaluable. TCUSD extends heartfelt gratitude to Michele and the Yoder family for their endless support of our district. Congratulations, Michele, on this well-deserved honor!
