TC Virtual Academy is a tuition-free public high school within Temple City Unified School District offering students in grades K-12 the opportunity to earn a high school diploma online. Utilizing a digital curriculum, high school core courses and many elective courses are University of CA a-g approved for UC/CSU Admissions. In middle school, grades K-8 standards-based courses are provided through a digital curriculum. Credentialed teachers are available daily online to provide student assistance and progress monitoring. Students complete coursework in a much more flexible, self-directed manner than in a traditional classroom. To be successful in a virtual independent studies environment students should be self-directed, self-disciplined and self-motivated. Parents are also an integral piece of the students success.
