Ms. Rudzik's Classes

Welcome to Ms. Rudzik's class!
Ms. Rudzik will be teaching 2 classes of A.P. U.S. History (APUSH) and 3 class of Regular U.S. History for the 2019-2020 school year. This will be her 13th year at Temple City High School. She has both her BA and MA in History and has studied at Claremont McKenna College, Colorado College, University College Dublin (Ireland), New York University and Cal State University Los Angeles. She has also studied and trained with the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History/Dartmouth University Native American Studies Program, the National Holocaust Museum, The USC Shoah Foundation, the Japanese American National Museum/Japanese American Citizens League/National Endowment for the Humanities, Teaching Tolerance/Museum of Tolerance/Simon Wiesenthal Center, UCI History Project/UCLA and the College Board AP Summer Institutes. In past years she has taught A.P. Government, Government, World History, Honors World History, A.P. European History, Women's History, History and Film, Speech and Debate, Economics, U.S. History (8th Grade) and World History (7th Grade).
Ms. Rudzik has a love for learning and travel. She feels very fortunate to teach subjects she is so passionate about. She has visited numerous historical sites and museums in the 53 countries and 27 states she has visited. During her time at TCHS, she has enjoyed organizing and taking students on educational week-long trips to Japan and Italy as well as field trips to the Museum of Tolerance, the Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust, the Chinese American Museum, the Japanese American National Museum, Olvera Street and Hollywood Forever Cemetery (for Día de Los Muertos). She has supervised weekend trips for Model United Nations and Junior Statesmen of America (JSA). This year she will be the advisor for the Amnesty International Club and the World Cultures Club. She has also served as the Faculty Advisor for teams/clubs such as the Speech and Debate Team/Club, JSA, the Japan Club, the Korean Pop Culture Club, Save Darfur, and O Ambassadors. She loves photography, music, watching good movies and TV programs, reading, visiting museums and art galleries, going to concerts and spending time with family, friends, and pets.
