Welcome!

It has been my pleasure to serve our students, families, and staff in the Temple City Unified School District since 2003. I am a former graduate of Temple City High School and the proud parent of four children who also graduated from TCHS. When I'm not working with students, I enjoy the outdoors, hiking, surfing, and spending time with family and friends.

School Counseling is my passion and I feel very fortunate to support our students in a variety of ways. Here is a great overview of how our Counseling Team supports our students here at TCHS!

School Counselors are vital members of the education team and maximize student success!

Academic:  Assist Students with Individual Planning and Goal Setting, Help Students Apply Academic Strategies, School Counseling Classroom Lessons Based on Student Success Standards

Personal/Social: Help Students Manage Emotions and Apply Interpersonal Skills, Short Term Counseling for Students, Referrals for Long Term Counseling Support

College/Career: Plan for Post-Secondary Options (Higher Education, Military, Work Force)

Additional Services:  Advocacy for Students and Individual Education Plan Meetings and Other Student Focused Meetings, Data Analysis to Identify Student Issues, Needs, and Challenges, Collaboration with Families, Teachers, Administrators, and Community for Student Success

To better serve our students, the School Counselors at TCHS are divided by alphabet split. The students managed under my caseload are last names PRA-VAL.
