Board of Education Meetings

The board of Education meets regularly on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month (except during summer, winter and spring breaks). Only one regular meeting is held in January, April, July, August, November, and December. Meetings in January, April, July, and August will be the 4th Wednesday of the Month. Meetings in November and December will be the 1st Wednesday due to holidays. The meetings are held at 6:00 p.m. in the District Office Boardroom. Regular meetings are open to the public.

 

Personnel Commission

The Personnel Commission meets regularly on the third Tuesday of each month. The meetings are held at 4:00 p.m. in the District Office Boardroom. Regular meetings are open to the employees and the public.

The Personnel Commission is an independent body responsible for maintaining the Merit-System for classified employees and overseeing the work of the Personnel Director and the Personnel Commission Staff. The Personnel Commission meets regularly on the third Tuesday of each month.

 

Citizens' Oversight Committee (COC)

Required to meet at least 1 time annually, no more than 4 times. The Citizens' Oversight Committee (COC) consists of community members and is a forum for citizens to review and provide feedback regarding school district activities in relation to a bond or parcel tax. 

 

Local Control and Accountability (LCAP)

The Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) requires a committee to be formed at the start of each school year and is required to meet at least four (4) times throughout the year. The committee is an advisory panel representing all stakeholders whose goal is to improve the academic program of the District.

 

Student Attendance Review Board (SARB)

The Student Attendance Review Board (SARB) is composed of school and community members who meet regularly to diagnose and resolve persistent student attendance or behavior concerns in conjunction with the student and parents/guardians.

The SARB meets monthly while school is in session.

 

The District Advisory Committee (DAC) and District English Learners Advisory Committee (DELAC)

The DAC and DELAC are groups of parents, staff, and community members elected by School Site Committees, School Site Council (SSC) and English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC), to provide on-going advice and support to the District. Meetings are open to the public. Required meetings to cover 7 topics.
